Oliver Drewes

Oliver joined Weber Shandwick in 2020, bringing two decades of experience from the European Institutions.
He was European Commission spokesman for the internal market. As member of cabinet he was for example in charge of relations with the European Parliament and portfolios like agriculture & rural development, environment, competition, financial services, food & health, maritime & transport.
As key advisor to Commissioners, he was part of the team responding to the financial crisis and participated in high-level policy dialogues with many of the EU’s trading partners, such as the US and Japan.
Oliver worked for many companies, holds a law & governance degree and a postgraduate LL.M. degree in EU law. He speaks English, German, French and Dutch.
